Collection: Bright Panel Pins

Buyer's Guide

About our Bright Panel Pins range

For the lightest, most delicate nailing work in joinery and finishing, bright panel pins are the smallest nail with a practical use. At the DIY Hardware Store, our panel pins are available in the slim gauges and short lengths used for fixing mouldings, trim, plywood panels, and thin decorative boards where a heavier nail would split the material or show too prominently through the finished surface.

Panel pins have a very small, nearly round head that can be punched below the surface and filled, leaving virtually no trace in the finished work. They're the standard choice for fixing architrave and beading, attaching ply panels to frames and carcasses, securing glazing beads, and anywhere a fine, unobtrusive fixing point is needed in thin or decorative timber.

Being bright (uncoated), they're appropriate for internal joinery in dry conditions. They can be driven by hand hammer with a pin driver, by a lightweight pin nailer, or by a nail punch after a hand-started start point. Despite their small size, panel pins hold well in softwood mouldings and ply when used in the correct length for the material thickness.
