Collection: Steel Washers

The steel washer is the simplest and most fundamental fastener accessory - a flat disc that sits between a bolt head or nut and the bearing surface to distribute clamping load, protect the surface from damage, and provide a clean bearing face for the fastener. At the DIY Hardware Store, our steel washers cover the standard metric flat washers in Form A (standard), Form B (large), and repair washer formats used across the full range of engineering, construction, and general DIY fixing applications.

Form A flat washers are the standard size for general bolting - sized to provide adequate load distribution for most applications without being unnecessarily large. Form B (large) washers have a significantly greater outer diameter for applications where a larger bearing area is needed to prevent pull-through in soft materials or to bridge an oversized hole. Both are available in zinc-plated steel for general use and stainless steel for corrosion-sensitive environments.

Available individually and in mixed packs at the DIY Hardware Store, in metric sizes from M4 through to M16 covering the most commonly needed bolt sizes for domestic and trade use.
