Collection: Steel Veneer Pins

Steel veneer pins are the ultra-fine, headless nails used in furniture making and cabinet restoration for the temporary and permanent fixing of veneer, edge banding, and decorative surface materials to substrate timber or panel products. At the DIY Hardware Store, our veneer pins are available in the fine gauges and short lengths appropriate for this delicate application.

Veneer pins are typically used to hold veneer in position while adhesive cures, preventing the veneer from lifting or shifting as the glue sets. The pin is driven through the veneer into the substrate at the edge or in a location that will subsequently be hidden by trim or edging, and is removed once the adhesive has set - or, in less critical locations, left in place and punched below the surface. The fine gauge and small cross-section minimise the risk of splitting the veneer or creating a visible blemish through the thin decorative surface.
