Wire Netting

Wire netting - also known as chicken wire or hexagonal mesh - is the flexible galvanised steel mesh used for poultry enclosures, rabbit runs, garden pest exclusion, plant support, and a wide range of agricultural and domestic fencing applications. At the DIY Hardware Store, our wire netting range covers the standard hexagonal mesh in the gauges and aperture sizes most commonly used for domestic garden and small animal enclosure applications.

Wire netting is distinguished by its hexagonal mesh pattern, which provides flexibility and conformability to irregular shapes and contours - useful for lining raised beds to exclude moles and rabbits, covering fruit cages, shaping plant supports, and any application where a rigid welded mesh would be awkward to install. The galvanised coating provides outdoor corrosion resistance, and the netting is readily cut with wire cutters and secured with galvanised staples to timber posts and rails.
