Collection: Countersunk Self Tapping Screws

A countersunk self-tapping screw cuts its own thread as it's driven into sheet metal, plastic, or thin materials - no pre-tapping required. At the DIY Hardware Store, our countersunk self-tapping screws are the go-to fastener for fixing metal sheet to frameworks, attaching plastic panels, assembling light gauge metalwork, and a wide range of fabrication and assembly tasks where a countersunk, flush-finished fixing is needed.

Type A self-tappers are used in light sheet metal and plastics. Type B (coarser pitch) cut more aggressively and are better suited to thicker gauge metals. The countersunk head angle draws flush into the material as the screw is tightened, creating a clean, flat surface finish. Pre-drilling with the correct clearance diameter is recommended for consistent countersinking and thread engagement.
