Carbine Hooks

A carbine hook - sometimes called a snap hook or snap clip - is the quick-release fastening used wherever a secure but easily detachable connection between a rope, chain, or strap and a ring, eye, or anchor point is needed. The spring-loaded gate snaps open under finger pressure to allow the hook to be clipped onto a ring, link, or bar, and returns to the closed position when released. Oval carbine hooks provide a large internal area for rope loops and shackle connections; bolt-snap versions have a narrower profile suited to lighter duty rigging and accessories.
