Collection: Hooks, Eyes & Curtain Fittings

The hook and eye is one of the oldest and most fundamental hardware pairings in DIY - a simple system of a curved hook engaging into a fixed eye or loop to create a lightweight, releasable fastening or connection point. At the DIY Hardware Store, our hooks and eyes range covers the full variety of types used across gardening, curtains, fencing, gate hanging, and general household applications.

Screw-in hooks and eyes are used to create training wire fixing points on walls (vine eyes), to hang items from joists and beams, to provide connection points for gate springs and door-holdback chains, and to create the classic cabin hook-and-eye door fastening. Larger hook-and-eye sets are used in gate hanging - the eye screws into the post, and the gate hook locates into it to create the pivot on which the gate swings.

The range at the DIY Hardware Store covers everything from small brass screw eyes for light picture hanging and curtain wire through to heavy galvanised gate eyes for agricultural use, in the sizes and finishes appropriate for each application.
