Collection: Sleeve Anchors

A sleeve anchor is one of the most reliable heavy-duty masonry fixings available - an expansion anchor that uses a threaded bolt to draw a conical expander through an expanding sleeve, forcing the sleeve outward against the walls of the drilled hole with increasing force as the bolt is tightened. At the DIY Hardware Store, our sleeve anchors are available in the sizes and grades used for structural bracket fixing, heavy equipment mounting, and high-load anchoring applications in concrete, solid brick, and natural stone.

Unlike wedge anchors (which expand by driving a cone into a split shell), sleeve anchors expand progressively over the full length of the sleeve, distributing the load across a larger contact area within the masonry. This makes them well suited to cracked concrete and masonry of variable quality, where localised expansion can fail to develop full holding strength. They also allow the bolt to be removed and replaced without disturbing the anchor body, making the fixing point reusable for maintenance access.

Available in M6, M8, M10, and M12 diameters in zinc-plated and stainless steel at the DIY Hardware Store, in lengths suited to fixing depths of 25mm to 75mm in masonry.
