Collection: Female Insulated Terminals

In any automotive, marine, or low-voltage electrical installation, the female insulated terminal is one half of the most commonly used quick-connect system: the spade terminal pair. At the DIY Hardware Store, our female insulated terminals are available in the colour-coded wire gauges used in standard automotive and 12V/24V electrical wiring.

A female spade terminal crimps onto the stripped wire end and accepts a matching male spade terminal in a push-fit connection that is easy to make and release, holds securely under vibration, and can be separated for service access without cutting the wire. The insulated sleeve extends over the crimp barrel to protect the connection from short circuits, moisture ingress, and mechanical damage. Colour coding makes selection straightforward: red for 0.5-1.5mm sq wire, blue for 1.5-2.5mm sq , and yellow for 2.5-6.0mm sq . A proper ratchet crimp tool ensures consistent crimp quality across all connections.
