Ring Terminals

A ring terminal is the most secure crimp terminal available - its fully enclosed circular eye gives 360-degree contact with a bolt or stud, ensuring the terminal cannot slip off the fixing point even if the fastener is not fully tightened. At the DIY Hardware Store, our pre-insulated ring terminals are available in the colour-coded wire gauge sizes used across automotive, marine, and general low-voltage electrical wiring for battery connections, earthing points, and other stud-mounted electrical terminations.

Ring terminals are the correct choice for battery connections, alternator connections, earth straps, high-current terminations, and any connection to a stud or bolt where retention security is critical. Unlike fork terminals, which can slip sideways off an incompletely tightened fastener, a ring terminal requires the fastener to be fully removed before the terminal can be disconnected - providing a much higher level of retention security in vibration-prone or high-consequence applications.

Available in red (0.5-1.5mm sq ), blue (1.5-2.5mm sq ), and yellow (2.5-6.0mm sq ) insulated versions, with ring internal diameters to suit M4, M5, M6, M8, and M10 studs and bolts, at the DIY Hardware Store.
