Shower Hoses

A shower hose is one of those fittings that gets little attention until it starts leaking, kinking, or bursting at the end fitting - and at that point, a straightforward replacement makes an immediate improvement. At the DIY Hardware Store, our shower hoses cover the standard 1.5m and 2m flexible reinforced hoses used in UK domestic shower installations, with standard 1/2" BSP connections compatible with all UK shower handsets and riser rail systems.

A quality shower hose uses a reinforced inner tube (typically EPDM rubber) protected by a woven or spiral-wound outer sheath in stainless steel or chrome-plated metal. This construction resists kinking, handles the repeated flexing of daily use, and withstands the temperature cycling of hot shower water. Cheaper hoses use a lighter plastic outer layer that tends to crack and discolour over time and eventually fails at the ferrule.

Available in chrome and white finishes at the DIY Hardware Store, in 1.5m and 2m lengths with swivel connections at both ends to prevent tangling during use.
