Swivel Locking Bars

A swivel locking bar is a rotating security bar fitted to a door or window that swings across the opening to create a physical barrier against forced entry, locking in place via a padlock eye or integral lock to prevent it being moved without authorisation. The swivel bar pivots from a fixed mounting point beside the door, swinging across the door face to engage a keep or staple on the opposite side. When padlocked, the bar prevents the door from opening even if the main lock is defeated - providing a meaningful additional deterrent and delay against forced entry. When not in use, the bar swings back to a stowed position against the wall or door face, out of the way of normal access.
