Collection: Corner Braces

A corner brace is the simplest and most effective way to reinforce a 90-degree timber joint that's under stress, been weakened, or simply needs additional rigidity from the outset. At the DIY Hardware Store, our corner braces range covers the flat L-shaped metal plates used across furniture assembly, shelving construction, gate framing, and general joinery to prevent racking and strengthen right-angle connections.

Corner braces are used where two pieces of timber meet at a corner - the inside corners of frames, the legs of tables and benches, the corners of gates and garden structures, and the junction of shelves with their side panels. They're available in straight (flat plate) form for surface application, and in cranked or angled versions where the two surfaces being connected are not in the same plane.

Available in zinc-plated steel for internal use and galvanised steel for outdoor applications, in a range of sizes from small lightweight braces for furniture repair up to heavy structural corner plates for gate construction.
