The UK's BS 1363 plug standard is among the safest in the world - but it's not always compatible with the wide range of electrical equipment and connections encountered in a modern home. Replacement 13A plugs are needed when a plug is damaged, when an appliance is supplied without a UK plug, or when a rewire of the flex connection is required.
