Collection: Screw Hooks

A screw hook is a screw-threaded fastener with an open or closed hook at the head, providing a simple, permanent hanging or attachment point when threaded into timber, MDF, or a wall plug. At the DIY Hardware Store, our screw hooks range covers the plain, shouldered, and square hook types used across kitchen storage, garden wire training, hanging systems, and general utility applications throughout the home and workshop.

Unlike a screw eye (which has a closed loop), an open screw hook allows items to be hung and removed without threading through a closed ring - making it faster to use in applications like key hooks, utensil rails, and tool hanging where items need to be taken on and off frequently. The shoulder version includes a short cylindrical section between the shank and the hook that prevents the hook from being pulled flush against the surface when load is applied, allowing rope, cord, or chain to hang clear of the wall or timber.

Available in brass, chrome, black, and zinc-plated finishes at the DIY Hardware Store, in sizes from small decorative hooks for kitchen and bedroom use through to larger utility hooks for shed and garden applications.
