Welded Rings

Welded rings - also known as welded D-rings, O-rings, or solid rings - are the closed metal rings used as attachment points, load connectors, and link components in chains, harnesses, hanging systems, and load securing assemblies. Unlike split rings (which can open under load) and screw-link connectors (which can work loose), a welded ring is a single continuous piece of metal with no closures, joints, or openings that could fail or allow detachment. This makes welded rings the correct specification for permanent, load-bearing anchor points - fixed to posts, beams, and structural members as connection points for chains, ropes, and tackle; sewn or riveted into straps and harnesses as D-ring attachment points; and used throughout rigging and lifting applications where reliability is non-negotiable.
